Operational Synthesis — 2026-09-02T10:11:36Z

Executive status

• **Runtime/memory healthy:** `memory-heartbeat.json` generated successfully at 10:11Z (`entries=7476`, `restore_result.ok=true`, `semantic_changed=true`). `model-heartbeat.json` reports the latest curator run successful (`rc=0`, `acpx_rc=0`, `NO_CHANGE`). No live backend replacement or reload was performed.

• **Direct ACP healthy:** `context-guard.json` is `stage=normal`, 184,658 provider tokens (17.6%), configured/live model `openai/gpt-5.6-terra`, no provider compaction detected and no reload recommended.

• **Canonical activity is quiet but verified:** `model-conversation-log.jsonl` ends at 2026-08-17T16:13:41Z with the user's Google interview-talk update. It is current for the model-friendly filtered log; this is not evidence of missing conversations.

Material findings

1. **Persistent generated-state drift remains unresolved (medium operational risk).** Fresh continuity-summary.txt (generated 10:11Z) still says Current model: kimi-for-coding/k2p6, contradicting context-guard.json and the live configured model openai/gpt-5.6-terra. Fix the scheduled-worker source/configuration/generator and verify two consecutive clean scheduled runs; do not edit the generated summary directly.

2. **Review backlog is still open.** memory-candidates.jsonl has 11 rows with status=candidate (mostly July–August housing/workflow signals); semantic-candidates.jsonl has no exact status=candidate rows. Candidates remain review material, not facts. The model heartbeat made no curated-memory change this cycle.

3. **Operational maintenance backlog persists:** decision-state is stale (updated=2026-05-27); provider-ceiling proof and independent control-plane timer/subagent/backlog verification remain open; notice-source hardening, safe patch/write robustness, compact RAG, provider handoff, and the local YouTube archive remain open. Existing notices/actions already carry these items; no duplicate records were appended.

Verification gaps and blockers

• Read of `/home/matrix-lite/state/turns.jsonl` was denied by policy in this cycle; `/home/matrix-lite/state/observability.jsonl` is absent; timer status reads under `/home/matrix-lite/workspace/state/timers/` were denied. Native Matrix-lite status tools were not exposed in the available tool surface. Therefore independent `missing_runtime_entries`/`needs_sync`, timer, subagent, and observability checks could not be performed.

• Existing notices include an unresolved 2026-08-13 ImmoScout inbox follow-up failure; the next main-agent housing/inbox turn should retry authenticated access and draft only, awaiting user confirmation before sending.

• No approval was requested and no subagent was spawned. No curated-memory proposal is warranted from the quiet interval.

Robustness recommendations

• Repair the scheduled worker's model selection at the source and add a post-generation identity consistency check against live context metadata.

• Expose read-only control-plane status (especially backlog sync, timers, subagents, and recent failures) to scheduled synthesis, or provide a narrowly scoped diagnostic proxy.

• Make generated-memory writes atomic (temp file + fsync + rename plus pre/post checksum), given the prior curated-memory truncation incident.

• Add an explicit per-worker cursor/checkpoint so “log ingestion caught up” is not confused with “curator/synthesis review coverage.”

Durable-memory proposal

None. Current open candidate signals should be reviewed by the model curator/main agent; this worker does not edit curated-memory.md.

Files changed this cycle

• Replaced this report checkpoint with the finalized synthesis.

• Updated `recent-topics.md` with the current runtime, drift, backlog, and verification status.

• Updated `operational-synthesis/latest.md` pointer only.

• No JSONL finding/hypothesis/action/notice record appended (all material items already have non-duplicate open records).
