Summary

Runtime memory restoration is healthy, but this cycle still cannot prove scheduled-worker health. The main model-friendly log has no direct user activity after 2026-08-17; therefore current work is backlog/control-plane synthesis rather than user-memory promotion.

Evidence Reviewed

• `memory-heartbeat.json`: 2026-08-24T10:06:58Z, restore `ok=true`, 7,476 entries, `semantic_changed=true`.

• `model-heartbeat.json`: 2026-08-24T09:47:33Z, `rc=0`, `acpx_rc=0`, `NO_CHANGE`; no curated-memory content change.

• `model-conversation-log.jsonl`: 6,342 rows; latest direct user turn 2026-08-17T16:13:27Z (Google interview-talk preparation).

• `continuity-summary.txt` still contains generated identity drift: `kimi-for-coding/k2p6`, while current heartbeat/context history identifies GPT-5.6 Terra.

• `actions.jsonl` retains the open scheduled-worker repair action; `notices.jsonl` retains the corresponding blocker and other unresolved maintenance items.

• `semantic-candidates.jsonl` sample consists of reviewed/stale candidates; no promotion proposed. `directed/latest.md` is stale (last directed report 2026-05-26), and `directed/index.json` has not received a newer directed report.

Findings

• **Healthy memory layer, unverified synthesis worker.** The latest model-heartbeat success does not establish that the scheduled operational-synthesis worker is using a valid model/configuration.

• **Persistent configuration drift.** The scheduled-worker action and repeated historical notices cite obsolete `kimi-for-coding/k2p6`; generated continuity output independently repeats it. Repair must target the generator/source and worker config, not generated files.

• **No current user-memory delta.** The latest direct conversation remains the Aug 17 interview-talk context; no new durable user signal is available to propose.

• **Control-plane visibility remains incomplete.** Native read of `/home/matrix-lite/state/turns.jsonl` was denied in this cycle. Timer/subagent/observability status APIs were not available through the exposed tool set. Do not infer backlog from canonical/model log line-count differences.

Actions

• Main agent/infrastructure: inspect the scheduled synthesis source/config, replace the obsolete model reference, then verify two consecutive scheduled successes using a live control-plane status surface.

• Fix generated identity at its source and add an invariant check so continuity summaries cannot advertise a removed provider/model.

• Separately prioritize provider-ceiling/handoff proof, decision-state refresh, semantic-memory garbage cleanup, compact RAG/anchor retrieval, and notice-source hardening.

Blockers

• Scheduled worker remains unverified and likely blocked by obsolete model selection; no direct timer/subagent proof was available.

• `/home/matrix-lite/state/turns.jsonl` access denied; `observability.jsonl` and timers were not independently checked.

• No approval was requested; no subagents were spawned.

Backlog Plan

• Next cycle: check whether the worker configuration was repaired and whether two successful scheduled reports exist. Until then, treat model-heartbeat health and this report as separate from scheduled-worker health.

• Preserve the distinction between filtered `model-conversation-log.jsonl` and canonical `perpetual-log.jsonl`; use `persistent_chat_log_backlog_status` when the control-plane tool becomes available.
